The Company implements an equipment and item management program that promotes the safe use of equipment and items and minimizes safety risks and hazards both for its staff and beneficiaries.

The organization keeps a current and accurate inventory tracking system of all equipment, including the model, stock number, serial number, batch or lot number, expiration date, and other information as applicable.

The organization tracks and monitors the history of all rental equipment, including an item’s functions, failures, recalls, repairs, preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, and calibrations. The organization monitors all equipment and devices in the inventory for proper functioning. This includes all rental equipment/devices used at a client’s residence, those items in inventory considered patient-ready, and those in the process of cleaning, disinfecting repair, or routine maintenance.

The Company maintains a list of all rental equipment as well as all other appropriate items provided to patients/clients and is able to locate all equipment/devices in the organization’s current inventory, whether owned or leased by the organization. When possible, this list indicates the condition of the equipment/supplies (e.g., new, used, for purchase, for rental).

Stickers/labels showing the organization’s name and telephone number (and address if desired) are attached to all rental equipment.
