The Company has a process to repair rental equipment and devices that are reported as damaged or malfunctioning. The Company has guidelines for determining whether in-house personnel, factory repair, or an independent outside service should be used to repair equipment.
Following are general guidelines for determining when a repair option is selected:
- In-house repairs are performed if the organization’s staff technicians have the appropriate qualifications, and equipment needed and if it is feasible to make the repair according to the repair manuals and manufacturer schematics.
- Equipment is returned to the factory/manufacturer following the manufacturer’s recommendations. The manufacturer’s return procedure is followed.
- An independent repair service is used if neither of the other options is feasible.
State-Specific Requirements
- Mississippi : The Company must refrain from modifying equipment to the extent that the modification might reasonably cause harm.
